Heroin Wings

The secret to being succesful on a low carb/ketogenic diet is to eat food that you love. Create a recipe book or Pinterest board with recipes that you know will keep you full and satisfied.. That way, when you are feeling deprived you know you always have something yummy that you can indulge in.

This is one of the recipes I make time and time again. It’s a little messy and time consuming to prepare, but totally worth it. It’s a hit with family and friends as well.

They are kind of addicting too, hence the name.

I can’t take credit for this recipe. It came from a low carb cookbook I used to have, but have since lost the name. Thankfully I still had the recipe written down.

I served mine with ranch dressing used as a dip! Enjoy!!

Heroin Wings

1 cup Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons dried parsley

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

1/2 cup butter

-combined Parmesan cheese and the parsley, oregano, paprika, salt and pepper in a bowl.

-line a baking pan with foil (don’t skip this or you’ll still be scrubbing your pan a week later!)

-melt the butter in a shallow bowl

-dip each wing into the butter, then roll in the Parmesan cheese mixture and arrange on foil lined pan.

-bake for 1 hour.

-serve, and make sure you have plenty of napkins on hand!!
